I'm disappointed that I'll never get the chance to draw some of the scenes here.

The division between the acts was carefully chosen.

Act I served as an introduction - you got to see the characters and the world they're operating in. You start seeing there's more than is seen at first to this world - it isn't your typical pokemon adventure as you've expected in the beginning. There's more there. 

And then came act II. 

Act II is basically a rapid-paced deconstruction of the entire pokemon world. Things were not as they seemed, and you start seeing how the things you've always perceived one way turn out to be completely different, and then - all hell breaks loose. Mewtwo's creation is basically the point-of-no return here. That's where I break it all up - even the actual timeline itself. From here on you can see this isn't only just not going in the expected direction, it's basically all going wrong.

Act III, in the end, was meant to be executed entirely under the severe consequences of act II, and is basically trying to deal with the problems that surfaced, which seem to be even more deep then they first appear in the end of act II.
